And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us … Acts 17:26-27

Two years ago we started praying about moving from Pennsylvania to Texas to church plant. There were lots of factors to consider, but we didn’t research autism services here. We just assumed Texas was progressive enough to have similar services to what we received in PA.

When we got here and started talking to the school and other parents, we realized how wrong we were. Texas felt about twenty years behind in what we were receiving in PA. When I talked to one agency that helps connect families to services, she actually said, “Did you have to move here? Can you go back to where you came from?”

But we couldn’t go back. We felt called here. And the Book of Acts says God determines where people live and when they live. So we trust He has a purpose for us here at this time, and we believe in His promises.

Don’t feel limited by the place where you live, even if you struggle at times. God has placed you there and will equip you to fulfill the purpose He has for you in this season!

God, we praise you for placing us in the time and place you have. We trust in Your plan for us here.
