Blog Reading:

  • I learned a lot from this TED talk by Malcolm Gladwell about David and Goliath. Seems David may not have been the underdog we all talk about him being.
  • The Best Way to Start Your Everyday from Desiring God:”Two things make up everyone’s everyday: receptivity and productivity. We are creatures who constantly take in and put out. We absorb and we exude.

The question is what will it be?

The psalmist tells us the best way to start.”

  • I make Kristin’s hot onion souffle as often as I can find an excuse to make it. Twice I’ve taken it in a crockpot to a meal at church and by the time I get through the line, it’s gone.

From books:

“I don’t believe there is one great thing I was made to do in this world. I believe there is one great God I was made to glorify. And there will be many ways, even a million little ways, I will declare his glory with my life.” –A Million Little Ways by Emily Freeman

From my Bible:

13 And when he knocked at the door of the gateway, a servant girl named Rhoda came to answer. 14 Recognizing Peter’s voice, in her joy she did not open the gate but ran in and reported that Peter was standing at the gate. 15 They said to her, “You are out of your mind.” But she kept insisting that it was so, and they kept saying, “It is his angel!” 16 But Peter continued knocking, and when they opened, they saw him and were amazed. – Acts chapter 12 (They were amazed that God did exactly what they asked Him in prayer to do. Interesting.)

From our house:

We had another big week of adoption paperwork. Paperwork equals fees, and if you’d like to contribute to our adoption fee fund, we’re doing a fundraiser on our family site that will help you get ready for Christmas!
