- From Simple Homeschool, Little Kids with Big Worries. Lots of good advice here, but lacking the best advice—to pray and fight back with Scripture memory.
- Confessions of a Flawed Editor from Chad Allen. Chad’s job as editor for Baker Books is different from my job as a freelance editor, but the desire to be perfect is the same for both of us. And as hard as I try, it just doesn’t happen.
- Thom Rainer shares 11 Things Pastors Need to Know Their Wives Are Thinking. I’ve struggled with at least half of these at some point in our decade of ministry.

When we believe that we’re responsible for producing results, we don’t trust God to be God.
From My Bible:
He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Psalm 23:3

This was James’s last week of first grade! Since we’re moving next month, they were his last days with the amazing team at his school. We are going to miss them so much! We moved into summer mode, which means his therapist comes to the house each day for a few hours. We like to plan activities out of the house when she’s with us and one of James’s favorite summer activities is bowling! It’s fun to see him be able to do more on his own than he was able to do last summer. Like carry that heavy bowling ball!
