From Blogs:
- This is an important guest post over at We Are THAT Family: Talking about Sex Begins in the Kitchen. We have to be proactive on these topics. (Here’s the book we use with David: The Talk.)
- Lots of men who thought they were keeping their secrets in the dark were forced to bring them into the light this week. A good reminder to all of us that God sees all and repentance is necessary and healthy: How to Repent (Five Steps) from The Gospel Coalition.
- This weekend is the end of Special-Needs Parents Appreciation Month. I wasn’t able to do everything I wanted to do, but we were able to honor 31 special-needs parents and give them gifts thanks to our sponsors. Looking forward to next year and doing even more!
- On Not Alone, we released a book of prayers for special needs parents. It’s free through Monday, so click over to download your copy!
From Books:
I read The Heir by Kiera Cass this week and started For the Love by Jen Hatmaker. I updated the reading list for this year over on my editing site. I read lots of good YA fiction this summer!
From My Bible:
I’m going to start The Gospel Project’s study that will take us through the Bible in three years. Since I don’t have a Sunday school class or small group to lead, I have to be more disciplined about studying.
Around the House:
It was a busy week! James started school. I was in North Carolina for my last LifeWay trustee meeting. Then finally on Friday we had a new-normal day. I’m looking forward to many more new-normal days!
