connecting

I’m very excited to share with you a new ministry opportunity that has come my way! I’ve been a writer for Not Alone Parents for most of this year. Each month I look forward to connecting with the special-needs parents and grandparents (and a few aunts, uncles, teachers, and friends!) who find community and encouragement there. The team of writers is amazing and it’s an honor for me to be on the same site with them.

The founder and administer, Mike Woods, has done a great job building the site and putting together the team of writers. But due to the fact he’s a busy husband, dad, and ministry director, he decided it was time to focus on his in real life ministry at home and church.

So …  I am taking over! I’ll have a bigger platform to serve special-needs parents, the group Lee and I see as our online ministry field. I’m excited to get to know the writing team better, expand our reach, and connect with special-needs parents who don’t ever need to feel alone again.

My friend Caroline will be helping me as a virtual assistant, so I hope I’ll be able to manage this site, my editing projects, and family and in real life ministries.

If you are a special-needs parent, please join me over at Not Alone Parents! I know you’ll find community and encouragement there.
